The Supply Yard is a website designed by a construction person-me, a General Contractor for the construction industry and for the hard working people in it. My name is Bill Titus and I have 40 years experience starting as a laborer back in 1970, going through all the blood sweat and tears, getting my contracting license and building everything from simple fence jobs, to remodels, additions, single family dwellings, some commercial work, and finally some multi-family projects.

The idea struck me for the site back in '06 initially, for contractors to get rid of all the un-needed excess materials accumulated over the years, sitting in my/there garage, storage units, in my/there truck, in backyards and wherever else this stuff lands. From talking to other contractor buddies this is a common issue. I decided to build a website( I actually had a web builder do it) for the purpose of helping myself and other contractors get rid of this stuff, recover some money(sometimes) and not fill up the local landfills with good products that just need to find  a new home--a real one. So here it is several years in the making at your disposal.

It's expanded from the original idea of classifieds to business advertising, employment ads, project listings, and a section of Resources where you can  chat with other contractors about issues, to permit links, product and tools links and more.  I wanted a one stop shopping place for contractors to connect with other contractors, get info, get some educational tools, and generally expand your business by this connection.

And I wanted a place for the people, home owners, building owners who use the service of contractors to find good contractors, research materials, and make the best of their projects, by having this resource for their use as well. This is really what building is all about. The satisfaction of those living in the homes and buildings that are constructed.
